Online Access Available Free!

Thanks to funding from the Friends of Oakland Foundation grant, the Oakland Public Library can now offer online services like never before!  With just your library card number and a password, any library patron may access their library account through our online card catalog.  Day or night, you can renew, request, research, recommend or reserve library materials.  Call or stop in the library for a personal tour of the library's online card catalog!

Special Storytime visit

Our tuesday morning storytime featured special guest reader, Stacey Pawling.  Stacey is with the Early Development Network "Babies Can't Wait".  As you will see in the photos, she held the children enthralled with her stories. 

Kindle Tip #1 Returning Books Early

Do you have a book checked out on your Kindle from Overdrive and want to check it back in early? Just log in to your Amazon account and go to “manage your devices”.  There it will list the titles that you have checked out and by going to the right of the title one of your options is “Return”.  It’s as simple as that!! Happy reading!

Bookclub Updates for September 2012

Our 1st Tuesday at 2 book club will meet September 4 at 2 pm.  We will be discussing Reader's Choice. 

Our evening book club will meet Monday, September 17 at 7 pm.  The topic will be author Elizabeth Berg titles.

Movie Time in the Library

One last day before "Back to School" so come to the library for Movie Time!

An amazing tale of an injured dolphin named Winter will be shown from 4 - 6 pm
Bring your pillows or blankets to be comfy cozy during the movies.

Scrap booking Night @ Your Library
